Gycerin is not really helpful for your skin.  It just sits there because it can't be absorbed!  Glycerin is "hygroscopic", which means it attracts water. Unfortunately, it often attracts or absorbs water from your skin, so rather than moisturizing, it actually becomes a "drying" agent.  Most people want to put moisture INTO their skin, not take it out!  

Also, many people (maybe you) are allergic to glycerin.  It's often put into skin creams because it is inexpensive to buy (read: "CHEAP") so the manufacturers can cut corners and save money.  (Muriel Bell skin care products are made with expensive, refined ingredients.)

Our products contain NO GLYCERIN.  They are GLYCERINE FREE!
